Enhanced Decision Making
Keynotes
Psychology | Leadership | Performance
I work with organisations that face the opportunity and threat of change.
Cooperation, agency and agility are key qualities for organisations that will succeed in this new environment.
More than ever, groups and teams will have to be united and motivated by ideas, values and stories.
The purpose of my keynote is to provide this unifying impetus.
I am interested in how to protect teams from the digital disconnection that weakens relationships and collaboration, and the digital delegation that undermines the hard human thinking necessary for the best ideas and actions.
Every keynote is designed in partnership with the client. If you are interested in human decisions, values, performance and wellbeing, and your audience enjoys stories about high pressure and high profile moments, please get in touch with me to explore.
Experience
Inside Elite Performance Environments
My perspective is grounded in decades of work inside some of the most demanding performance systems in the world.
I previously served as Head of Psychology and Sports Science at Chelsea FC, working across fourteen years during the most successful period in the club’s history. During this time, I worked alongside managers including Carlo Ancelotti, José Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel, and teams with players such as Petr Cech, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, Didier Drogba, Eden Hazard, Frank Lampard and N’Golo Kanté.
Beyond European football, my work has taken me internationally across a wide range of elite environments, including:
- The FIFA World Cup with the Saudi Arabian National Team.
- Senior leadership roles within the Saudi Pro League.
- The Indian Premier League
- London financial sector.
This experience spans very different cultural, political and power structures - from billionaire-owned organisations and global brands to state-backed systems and royal governance environments. It has shaped a deep understanding of how pressure, expectation and context influence human behaviour and decision-making.
“Most people think you have to win to survive. But actually you have to survive to win. ”

Insights from verifiably world class performers
A career spent working with people who have a verifiable claim to being the best in the world has given me respect for people's agency and ability, and knowledge of how to use my own experience and insight to offer guidance where and when it will be effective.
I am interested in:
Enhanced decision-making: designing processes that make best use of data, and human and artificial intelligence.
Values: we are more similar than we think, but without shared understanding of how to prioritise and express our values, they can divide as well as unite.
Communication: My book "10 Rules for Talking" explains how to keep conversations safe and effective.
Confidence vs Commitment; Mental Health vs Mental Strength; the Focus–Motivation–Confidence triad; how to finish; and how to judge risk.
The Enhanced Decision Framework™ provides leaders with:
- A clear language for understanding decision environments.
- Insight into how agency is gained or lost under pressure.
- Practical ways to slow critical moments without slowing performance.
- Tools for operating effectively alongside advanced technology and AI.
The focus is not control, optimisation or motivation - but clarity, judgment and responsibility when consequences are real.
Who these keynotes are for:
Executive Teams.
Boards and Senior Leadership Groups.
Organisations navigating transformation or disruption.
Leadership audiences operating at scale, under scrutiny, and with real consequence
At the centre of each keynote is The Enhanced Decision Framework™ - a practical, human-centred framework for enhanced decision-making in a world challenged by digital disconnection and delegation.
Keynotes can stand alone or act as the entry point into deeper work through events or longer-term programs.
